Description

Answering Service in FM 1960 area (1960 & Veterans Memorial) has openings for telephone agents. These are full time positions (30-40 hours per week / overtime available if desired). You are scheduled for DAY TIME HOURS. You must be able to work between the hours of 630am and 730pm and be able to work weekend days.

The available positions start work generally at 630am or 700am or 730 am on weekdays. Our office is open 24 hours a day every day. We are open all weekends and holidays. Your scheduled hours will vary but generally you will be scheduled 7am-4pm on weekdays and possibly a little later on the weekend. You should expect to work 1030am-700pm one or two days per week. Four day work weeks (730am-645pm) are available.

Agents handle phone calls, messages, and customer service on behalf of a professional clientele (many in health care). Accuracy in gathering information is critical for these clients.

Requirements are:

Be able to type 40-45 wpm
Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills
Demonstrate excellent listening skills
Be available to work on weekends
Have reliable transportation
Demonstrate an ability to work with a team

Experience is not a requirement but highly preferred. Bilingual skills to assist Spanish speaking callers is a big plus and paid a differential. Hourly wage (after 12 weeks training) is $14.00 – $15.50 plus … based on experience, skills, shift, and attendance. ( Weeks 1-2 is $10.00/hour. Weeks 3-4 is $11.00/hour. Weeks 5-6 is $12.00/hour. Weeks 7-12 is $13.00 and after that $14.00 + per hour )
