Deer Creek Golf Club has a position available for an “Assistant Chef.”

The Assistant Chef will be “second in command” of the kitchen, primarily responsible for the production and plating of all food needed for banquet functions and private parties, with kitchen production duties as required to manage labor hours.

Specific Responsibilities:
• responsible for producing a consistent, high quality product with an appetizing presentation
• supervises kitchen personnel involved in food preparation
• strong knowledge and understanding of culinary operations including sanitation and safety standards
• able to speak clearly and understand the English language
• meets with the Banquet Director in weekly BEO meetings
• establishes and maintains professional standards of conduct and appearance at all times
• able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• assists with Head Chef responsibilities in the latter’s absence
• assists/relieves the Head chef whenever banquet volume allows
• performs other related duties as assigned from time to time by the Head Chef

Education/Experience:
• Culinary degree (two-year) – Required
• 2+ years experience as a Sous Chef
• must have a food manager’s card
• must be available seven days a week
