STORE MANAGER – BAKED RED HOOK
We’re looking for a StoreManager who has a passion for food and restaurant operations and a desire to make a lasting impact on customers and team members. The store manager at Baked understands all roles needed for a production and retail bakery including: Production, Administration, Service, Decorating/Finish product, Facilities, Shipping. You are hands on and able to fill in or support your colleagues in order to keep a tight ship!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

People Management
• Continuously support all departments in recruitment of strong candidates
• Be the point person for and resolve employee grievances; Effectively deal with difficult situations. Mentor more junior Managers.
• Communicate to owners about the status of manager and entry-level staff performance, specific projects and operational requirements
Operations
• Supervise cash management policies and procedures
• Work with department managers to ensure inventory process is completed correctly according to Baked’s accounting procedures.
• Plan and monitor appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime
HR & Compliance
• Ensure payroll is completed accurately and is transferred to the payroll company in a timely manner.
• Ensure that employees understand all components of their paycheck and benefits
• Onboard all new employees, ensuring that they receive an employee number and are oriented to the facility, fill out all necessary paperwork, understand the store-wide policies and procedures.
Customer/Vendor Relationships
• Support Café & Sales manager in ensuring that every customer is leaving the store satisfied
• Coffee and coffee equipment knowledge is a must
• Develop positive and lasting relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Oversee in-house orders and outgoing deliveries, ensuring 99% accuracy is maintained

Reports to: Owners
Direct Reports: Facilities staff (porters), Baristas
Important Relationships: Baked Owners, FOH and BOH managers, Wedding Coordinator, new hires, entry-level staff

EXPERIENCE
4+ years of food industry experience
Proficient in facilities and operations management
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Proficient in Excel and Quickbooks
NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
