Peck’s (pecksfood.com) is a neighborhood cafe in Clinton Hill, focusing on serving delicious food that is all made in house. We are known for our stunning array of seasonal pastries, delicious breakfast sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, salads, soups, and more. We are seeking an experienced baker to join our team to help produce our famous treats!

We are seeking a part-time baker to assist our pastry team. You would be responsible for baking a vast selection of excellent, original pastries for Peck’s, Peckish, and our standing catering clients. You would work with a variety of techniques to prepare batters, yeasted and laminated doughs, and a number of fillings, garnishes, and glazes. In addition to food preparation, the baker is also expected to take an active role in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and our high standards of operation.

Applicants should be:

Experienced in pastry production
Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Team-oriented and willing to collaborate
Clean, organized, and extremely detailed
Great communicators
Punctual, fast-working, and focused
