Description

Small Accounting Firm in Humble TX is looking for a full-time team member, QuickBooks and bookkeeping experience required;

Responsibilities:
• Establish and monitor procedures for record keeping
• Completing all bookkeeping projects in a timely fashion
• Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
• Mailing documents to clients
• Running errands
• Provide general support to office staff
• Balance and maintain accurate ledgers in QuickBooks
• Ensure filing systems are maintained and current
• Provide monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
• Processing of payroll for external clients and sub-contractors using QuickBooks payroll system
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
• Strong judgment, highly developed problem solving and project‐management skills
• Comfortable working alone at times without direct supervision

Requirements/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an office setting
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience with QuickBooks and general bookkeeping
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, in particular)
• Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
• Additional qualifications as an Administrative assistant, or knowledge of QuickBooks or tax preparation will be a plus
