A James Beard Award Semi-Finalist, Madruga Bakery is a neighborhood craft bakery and café devoted to the pleasure of preparing and sharing ingredient driven breads, pastries, and lunch and breakfast fare. From our warm and welcoming open kitchen, to grinding heirloom grains in house on our custom-made stone mill, Madruga brings a fresh and unique way of baking rustic breads and fine pastries for our community.

Our menu is seasonally driven so we bake and cook with wholesome ingredients at the peak of their flavor, organic and local whenever possible, and fresh always. All of our breakfast, lunch and pastry options reflect our dedication to making simply good food from scratch with simply good ingredients.

We prefer candidates with experience in bread baking, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and/or baking, but are willing to train the right candidate.

Expectations include:
-Experience baking in a commercial establishment
-Love of early mornings
-Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in work
-Punctuality and great time management skills
-Cleanliness, and proper food handling knowledge
-Ability to work well as a team player
-An interest in learning and constantly improving
-A positive attitude

This is a full time position, early morning availability is a must, 5 days a week, including weekends.
