Description

Crest SSD (www.crestssd.com) is a Social Security Disability practice which works to assist claimants in filing for and receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits with the Social Security Administration (SSA). We are seeking a quality Client Advocate who will be responsible for guiding our clients throughout the SSDI claims process. This involves working directly with the client from the initial application into the Reconsideration and Hearing levels (when necessary). The ideal candidate has the ability to learn and understand the claims approval process. Additionally, the candidate should be self-driven, organized, have a high sense of urgency, strong integrity, and able to function in a self-managed environment.

Responsibilities:
Submitting SSDI applications online
Interpreting correspondence from SSA
Receiving incoming mail and calendaring deadlines for paperwork due
Calling claimants to ensure they are making appointments, etc.
Reviewing Medical Records
Preparing applications for Reconsideration and Hearings (when necessary)
Job Qualifications:
College Degree (experience in lieu of degree will be considered)
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent Customer Service
Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with accuracy
Microsoft Office Experience a Must
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Willingness to work as part of a team
Preferred but not required experience as a legal professional
Preferred but not required 2+ years experience working for SSA AND/OR 2+ years working for a firm that handles SSDI claims
