Description

Line cook: early morning position (between 4am to 11am) Pay will be accordingly to experience. Between 33-38 hours a week.

Job brief

Wanted: professional line cook/prep for a catering company to prepare food to the chef’s exact specifications and to set up stations for the daily menu. The ideal candidate has strong basic math and organizational skills and can accurately read simple charts in order to ensure that portions and orders are correct and appropriately labeled.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• PUNCTUALITY & HARD WORK.

Requirements

• Proven cooking experience for 3 years minimum (Peruvian cousine preferred)
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients & procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Preferably Bilingual (English & Spanish)
