JOB DUTIES include, but aren’t limited to: making sandwiches, salads and sides; slicing and serving meats and cheeses; creating daily specials; taking customers’ orders; providing menu information; stocking shelves; checking expiration dates on stock; cleaning food prep stations, tables and shelves; sweeping, mopping, etc. This will be a full-time position. The ideal candidate has some culinary training, a food handler’s license and most importantly a passion for food.

*Be experienced in cold cut slicing and creating salads & sandwiches
*Have experience operating a deli slicer.
*Be able to assemble pick-up, local delivery, mail order and catering orders
*Be able multi-task in a busy environment
*Be able to enthusiastically greet customers entering restaurant
*Be able to answer customers’ questions and provide information regarding food preparation or cooking process… store’s policies and relevant procedures regarding
*Provide quality customer service/support to all guests
*Have at least 1+ year experience working behind a high-end food or deli counter
*Have excellent kitchen skills
*Strong work ethic
*Strong communication with management and staff
*Works well under pressure
*Have knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
*Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen
*Prepare and execute key components of dishes
*Ensure quality and accuracy of products and dishes
*Clean and efficient
*NYC DoH Food Handlers License is a Plus
