Looking for innovative Vegan Chef with at least 5 years experience that can take charge of kitchen organization and specializes in improving service while reducing costs. We believe that eating a plant-based diet and choosing local organic foods is the most direct and simplest way to create a more balanced and sustainable world. Our goal is to equip our society with the proper diet for optimal health and also save animals and the environment. Our entire menu will be free of pesticides and genetic modification. Serving only plant-based foods. We change our menu multiple times throughout the year to ensure the freshest and most innovative dishes. Candidate for Head Chef must display the following qualities & skills:

A passion to work with alternative, healthy vegan cuisine that is interesting & exciting

A strong ability to execute menus, especially during busy periods.
A solid understanding of purchasing, food cost control, inventories, scheduling and interpersonal / HR skills.
A sincere desire to ensure a synergy between front and back of house to create a complete, guest-oriented product. If you have the desire and ambition to one day have your own restaurant, but want to experience as much as possible in a successful establishment alongside hands-on owner/operator, this opportunity could be right for you. You must have previous experience as a Chef with knowledge regarding innovative Vegan cuisine. Competitive salary and benefits package available.
The Head Chef reports to the Owners & works hand in hand with the General Manager. The Head Chef is responsible for the company’s day-to-day culinary operating activities. This includes oversight for the quality of food, execution, revenue and sales growth, expense, cost and margin control, and produce orders.

Requirements: Job skills and specifications include:

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent management and organizational skills
Accredited culinary school graduate preferred
Minimum 1 year experience running a Vegan kitchen
Responsibilities Include:
Train and manage all kitchen team members
Willing to educate others on vegan nutrition
Supervising and coordinating all aspects of the culinary activities in the restaurant
Estimating the food consumption and establishing preparation pars
Oversight of food purchasing and ordering
Inventory and cost control
Establish and operate at the determined food cost guidelines
Outstanding quality of all food
Working with vendors – including local farmers
Developing and selecting the recipes to be used in the restaurant
Standardizing the production of recipes to ensure that guests receive the finest quality
Establishing the techniques of food presentation
Planning and pricing the menus
Ensuring that all kitchen equipment works and is maintained properly
Ensuring the kitchen is always safe and sanitary
