Aziza’s fast casual concept next door, FALAFEL NATION, is seeking cooks with hospitality skills to join our growing team! This position has a starting hourly rate of $12 / hr and on top of that, you will receive gratuities in addition to your hourly pay. Weekly tips range from $300 – $500 and with that factored in average hourly pay with gratuity ranges from $20 / hr – $30 / hr. Your duties will include, guest interaction, ringing in the orders on a touch screen Point of Sale, and food preparation. The ability to multi-task and self manage is key for this position. Previous guest facing hospitality experience is encouraged, but not a requirement. Full time and Part time availability are acceptable.

Our Culinary team has worked in many of the best restaurants in Atlanta and beyond, and bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. We also offer 5 days of PTO after 1000 hours or one year of employment for hourly employees (whichever comes first). We also cover on-premises parking cost at Westside Provisions District for all employees. Qualifications:

-Ability to adapt to changing priorities
-Food Handling and Safety knowledge
-Knife and measuring skills; manual de-xterity and speed
-Ability to ready and follow recipes
-Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Duties:

-Set up, break down and maintain stock levels at Falafel Nation
-Produce food items as tickets are received following recipes, plating specs and time standards, assuming 100% percent responsibility for quality of work
-Receive and store product, assist with stocking duties, follow proper food labeling and rotation protocol
Minimize waste
-Practice acceptable food handling and safety procedures including safe heating and cooling methods
-Maintain a clean and sanitary work space
-Interact with guests in a hospitable fashion.
-The menu is small, but you are expected to have a full knowledge of items and ingredients
