MEMCO is hiring a Leasing Agent

Job Summary

The Leasing Agent is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations of multi-family and single-family residential homes and apartments.
S/he will work with the Property Manager and help navigate the complex nature of the property market and resident questions.

Job Responsibilities

Market the property by answering potential resident questions, conducting tours, and promoting community amenities.
Knowledge of leasing terms, specifications, and all community policies.
Participate in resident functions and other company sponsored promotional events.
Knowledgeable of current market conditions, property management standards, and leasing requirements.
Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations, and all amenities of property.
Generate and maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material.
Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
Complete leasing agreement and collect rental deposit.
Responsible to play an active role in the renewal process.
Responsible for proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
Efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.
Monitor and assist Property Manager with the collection of delinquent rents.

Job Requirements

Education
High school education or equivalent is required.

Experience
A minimum 1-year experience in residential property management or related field.
Experience leasing multi-family or single-family homes.
Proven skill of managing high volume of leases.
Ability to close sale
Understanding of sales and marketing concepts.

Skills
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Strong relationship building skills.
Strong numerical and reasoning skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products specifically, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Working Conditions
Able to work a varied schedule to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands.
Able to work overtime (scheduled and/or unscheduled, nights and/or weekends) as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
Able to work in fast paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.
Able to perform work indoors in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office, or private office.

Physical Requirements
Able to communicate orally in a clear manner.
Able to hear oral communication either in person or on equipment such as telephone or mobile phone.
Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time creating, composing, and reviewing documents and spreadsheets.

Compensation & Term of Assignment
$ 14 – $16/HR – Depending on Experience
Additional Commission is available based off of closing new accounts and renewing existing accounts ($200 – $600/ Month) Depending on # of Accounts
This position is Temporary to Permanent
