City Oyster & Sushi Bar is looking for LINE COOKS to join our face-paced, high volume location! We are currently searching for candidates with 5 years of previous full-service restaurant experience to join our team in a full time position! The Line Cook is responsible for the assembly of dishes and preparation support relating to Restaurant recipes and specifications. The Line Cook is positioned and in charge of specific station(s) in BOH production. As a versatile member of the kitchen staff, the Line Cook may adopt additional preparatory duties during his/her shift and/or assist the Sous Chef in the completion of meals. The Line Cook maintains a safe and clean cooking environment and completes culinary duties, as directed. The Line Cook prepares a variety of foods, as preparatory or direct to customer products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads and other food products using a variety of cooking equipment and utensils. The Line Cook ensures he/she is fulfilling the demands of the Daily Prep List. The incumbent reports directly to the Executive Chef and requires an organized worker who possesses the ability to perform detailed tasks with a sense of urgency in a dynamic restaurant environment.
