Mexican burrito spot in Crown Heights. We’re looking for a restaurant associate with great customer service and line cook / prep cook abilities.

– – – – – LINE COOK / PREP COOK DUTIES- – – –

• Help with all aspects of restaurant operations, including taking customer orders, cleaning, and of course, cooking
• Follow the prep list created by chef
• Preparing all food to El Barrio recipe standards, correctly, quickly, safely and always with love & attention to detail
• Assist on the line as needed, including rolling burritos
• Assist at the counter whenever necessary
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
• Undertake basic cooking and grilling duties
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Help out at the counter & front of house whenever necessary
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
