A James Beard Award Semi-Finalist, Madruga Bakery is a neighborhood craft bakery and café devoted to the pleasure of preparing and sharing ingredient driven breads, pastries, and lunch and breakfast fare. From our warm and welcoming open kitchen, to grinding heirloom grains in house on our custom-made stone mill, Madruga brings a fresh and unique way of baking rustic breads and fine pastries for our community.

Our menu is seasonally driven so we bake and cook with wholesome ingredients at the peak of their flavor, organic and local whenever possible, and fresh always. All of our breakfast, lunch and pastry options reflect our dedication to making simply good food from scratch with simply good ingredients.

We are currently seeking an experienced baker to join our pastry team, making cakes, quick breads, pies, tarts, and more.

Expectations include:
-At least 1-2 years pastry experience in a commercial environment
-Experience baking a variety of pastries, and frosting cakes
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Cleanliness, and proper food handling knowledge
-Ability to work well as a team player
-An interest in learning and constantly improving
-A positive attitude
– Professionalism, personal responsibility, and punctuality

This is a full time position, and requires early morning availability 5 days a week, including weekends.
