Miami Purveyors is seeking meat cutters and processors. If you’ve been a COOK, PREP COOK, worked with kitchen equipment (especially knives) CUTTING products in preparation, then you are the right candidate to work in our meat cutting room to package and learn to prepare steaks, chops, burgers, chicken and pack up those items on our packaging machinery for delivery to Florida’s finest restaurants.

WE WILL ALSO TRAIN MOTIVATED INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT EXPERIENCE.

The ideal MEAT PROCESSOR OR MEAT CUTTER should have some knowledge of meat including beef, veal, lamb, pork and poultry. HOWEVER, WE WILL TRAIN INDIVIDUALS EAGER TO LEARN THIS INDUSTRY. The individual would be responsible for packaging or cutting and inspecting various meat products and using computers to properly weigh and label. Applicant should have computer skills as this individual will be responsible for various documents and programs.

THIS CANDIDATE SHOULD WANT TO MOVE INTO A SUPERVISORY ROLE WITH PROPER TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.

This candidate will identify, weigh, pack and label products. Stocking, cleaning and rotation will also be a daily function. Training is offered if applicant is motivated, efficient, productive and reliable.

Ability to lift 80 or more pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to stand, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, handle, reach, twist.
Ability to learn to use computer.
Ability to tolerate cold temperature for a long period of time.
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
Ability to work Monday-Friday starting at 5 AM and until the shift is complete.
Ability to work overtime if needed; shifts vary.

Hours: Generally 8+ hours per day; 5 days per week
