Dispatcher, Customer Care Specialist, Part-Time

This job is ideal for somebody with pleasant telephone manners, dispatch ability, mechanical ability, and very good computer skills. Previous locksmith skills are a plus.

Job Description:

This is a part-time position with somewhat flexible hours. 20 to 32 hours per week. (Some weeks could be 40 hours if circumstances allow.)

Primary duties will involve answering the phones, quoting jobs on the telephone, identifying keys and remotes for vehicles and pricing them out, scheduling work to be performed, prioritizing and dispatching calls, sending invoices via mail, fax, or email and collecting payment, identifying and cutting keys for walk-in customers, programming keys and remotes at the customer’s vehicle, rekeying locks, and looking after keeping the shop clean and presentable.

This position can be slow at times, then you’ll have all phone lines ringing and a few people in the store at once.

Our store has a mask policy for customers at the moment. Masks are not worn amongst staff when customers are not present in the showroom.

Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:45.

Skills Required:

You need to be trustworthy, honest, presentable, and have pleasant telephone manners.

Computer skills are essential. Proper English capitalization and grammatical skills are needed.

Locksmith skills aren’t essential, but are helpful. We can train if need be. You should be mechanically inclined. If you can tear apart a bicycle and put it back together without extra pieces, or repair your car, then this is the mechanical ability that should help you out with locks.

Equipment Required:

You will need reliable transportation to get to work.

Compensation:

Hourly. Bonuses are paid if targets are reached each month.
