Organization Background: The Wagyu Bar is a casual steakhouse concept developed by the team behind Meat N’ Bone.

Position Overview:

The Wagyu Bar is a new concept launching in the middle of the COVID-19 Pandemic, as a result we are opening up slowly and hiring staff as we grow. This will be the third position fully dedicated to this endeavor. We are looking for someone who will help in all areas required and is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves to do some work.

This position will support the grill and the dishwasher and any other activity needed in the kitchen.

Position Overview:

The Wagyu Bar is a new concept launching in the middle of the COVID-19 Pandemic, as a result we are opening up slowly and hiring staff as we grow. This will be the third position fully dedicated to this endeavor. We are looking for someone who will help in all areas required and is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves to do some work. That said, this position is mostly to manage the front area of the restaurant and make sure customers are happy.

A hostess presents a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The hostess also greet guests upon arrival, informs guests of their wait time, monitors the waiting list, enters guest names into the computer system, show guests to their table and bids guests farewell as they leave.

A Host/Hostess must be able to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive. Additionally, the host cares for our guests by refilling beverages and performs light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses and menus and ensures restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly. As a member of an energetic team, the Host/Hostess may also need to answer the phones and fill to-go orders when needed. Availability must include nights and weekends.

§ You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. The first and last point of contact with guests.

§ Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you.

§ · Contact guests via telephone, email and booking platform in a courteous manner.

§ Ensures great communication between departments in the venue, working together with the reception team.

§ Adheres to company standards of service quality, preparation, and presentation.

§ Ensures guests are served in a timely manner.

§ Adheres to all health, sanitation and food safety rules and regulations.

§ Ensures that employees work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.

§ Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and either corrects them or takes action to prevent them from happening.

§ Keeps the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, appropriate uniform, appearance, and conduct.

§ Sets up for service by ensuring everything is set up for forecasted covers, special functions and all reservations.

§ Carries out any other duties as directed by management

§ 1 years’ Reception/Host experience in hospitality.

§ Excellent command of the English language (Written and spoken).

§ Computer literate.

§ Extremely adaptable and committed.

§ Lively, enthusiastic and confident.

§ Ability to handle difficult situations successfully.
