Our Office staff is the “front line” between our clients and our services. Applicants will need to be able to handle a physical job combined with great customer service skills: conflict resolution, multi-tasking in a fast paced environment as well as follow through.
We are looking for team players that exceed our and our client’s expectations. Applicants must be warm, professional, trustworthy, dependable, self-motivated, attentive to detail, quick-witted, able to work well under pressure, take direction, be efficient, and work well with other staff members. And let’s not forget you must genuinely care for animals!
For the Assistant Manager position, we require previous management experience and/or knowledge of the animal industry.
For the additional Client service positions knowledge of the animal industry is a plus, although not required. Weekends, Spring Break, Summers & Holidays are required because we are in the hospitality industry. These are our busiest times.
Besides client customer service, you will work heavily, hands on, with pets. We have and expect ALL of our employees to continue to learn and educate themselves within the industry: First-Aid, CPR, medical, behavior, obedience, products, nutrition, feline, etc. It is important for our staff to continue to learn and understand the pet industry to be seen as experts. We pride ourselves on higher-end knowledge (we can teach as long as initiative is there).
Office staff will be cross trained in other departments to learn the company and help out our other departments from time to time, you will get your hands dirty. 🙂
We are looking for full-time, LONG TERM, CAREER-MINDED people who want to work in a professional environment in the pet industry. We want people who are or may want to be involved in extracurricular pet related associations, networking, clubs, etc. You cannot be “above” grunt work: cleaning floors on hands & knees, stocking inventory, etc. Teamwork is a must. Keeping it professional within a family environment. In turn, we have benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, bring your dog to work, chair massages, some paid education, etc.

Must be able to work (mandatory) nights/weekends/holidays/summers
We are looking for reliable people only that do not cut corners in their work.
Snow, rain or other bad weather conditions will not keep employees away from getting to the facility to care for the pets staying with us.
Live animals rely on the punctuality and the excellent attendance of employees; therefore there is low tolerance for tardiness and absenteeism
Pay based on experience; Raises, bonuses & other perks based on performance, loyalty, and accomplishments
You can expect it to take up to a full year to be trained and completely confident & fluent in your department.
Working with animals definitely has its rewards (and it is why we do it), but because they have teeth it can be dangerous. There’s always a risk of being bit.
