Open Call Details: During the Open Call expect a 5-15 minute interview where you will get to meet with various leaders of our Hogsalt Leadership team. Please come prepared with any questions you may have about the position you are interested in.

Hogsalt, the team behind 4 Charles Prime Rib is bringing Au Cheval to New York City and we are seeking Hosts/Hostess. Both Au Chevals are part of Brendan Sodikoff's Hogsalt, which includes 4 Charles Prime Rib, Sawada Coffee, Bavette's, Doughnut Vault, Gilt Bar, Green Street Smoked Meats, High Five Ramen, Maude's Liquor Bar and 3 Greens Market. Serving coffee, lunch and dinner, Au Cheval dishes up traditional diner fare reimagined with a passion for eggs, a yen for other cuisines, a dash of sophistication, and a dollop of humor. Guests will find an emphasis on quality, playfulness and generosity -- both on the plate and in spirit -- as they indulge in items such as General Jane's chicken, roasted bone marrow, chopped chicken liver and the griddle's signature cheeseburger.

Vintage tile and iron and brick frame a long zinc counter for guests who want a front-row seat to the bustling open kitchen. Plush leather booths and banquettes promise a more relaxed experience under the glow of lamps fashioned from antique brass and prismatic glass. Vintage reel-to-reel tape provides a warm, upbeat soundtrack that reaches into every corner, while the bar pours classic cocktails including the Horse's Neck, Vieux Bonal, and Hemingway's Daiquiri. A robust draught beer and cider list brings together a wide range of neighborhood, domestic, and international selections.

All candidates must be available to start training on January 30th and must have open availability January 30th through February 28th for training and the opening.
