Description

Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream is seeking a Closing Restaurant Manager. The ideal candidate should have 4-7 years of restaurant experience. They must have exceptional leadership skills and the ability to lead and manage a team of 50+ individuals. They must be detail-driven, adaptable and able to work within a growing organizational structure.

The manager is responsible for working with the General Manager, the organization and staff in achieving the operational and financial goals, managing the performance, maintaining the facilities in accordance with company service standards, and ensuring high member satisfaction and an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities:

-Provide leadership and instill a culture and work environment based upon respect; providing opportunities for staff to learn, grow and develop their abilities through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
-Assist in managing and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated responsibilities in sales, costs, employee retention, customer satisfaction, food & beverage, cleanliness, and sanitation
-Monitor and analyze cost center financial performance and contribution to the organizations profitability
-Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance and reviews
-Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for the company.
-Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of services provided
-Continually strive to develop the staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
-Oversee and ensure that policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis
-Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the club, employees, and members
-Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and service
-Work 5 days weekly. Nights and weekend availability required.
-Hiring, training, scheduling and staff management
-Cash reconciliation

Qualifications

-At least 4-7 years of restaurant experience in a leadership role
-Startup/opening of restaurants experience preferred
-Service-oriented style with professional presentations skills
-Detail-oriented, excellent prioritization, time management, organizational and follow up skills
-Demonstrated ability for process excellence and project management
-Basic understanding of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Labor Requirements
-Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
-Fluent with WORD, PowerPoint, and Excel
