Fox Lifestyle Hospitality Group’s White Oak Tavern is seeking energetic, fun, and passionate people to join a team dedicated to personal and professional growth.

Executive Chef Justin Ottervanger showcases rustic, elegant dishes that demonstrate attention to detail as well as each restaurant’s relationship with local farms and purveyors.
We are looking for a talented Sous Chef who is focused on elevating our patron’s culinary experience without losing integrity of product.

Qualifications:
• Expertise on all stations (grill, sauté, garde manger, brunch)
• 3-years-experience in a culinary management role in a high-volume, fast-paced NYC kitchen
• Well-versed in inventory as well as food/supply ordering
• Ability to plan/participate in planning recipes, menus, daily meal specials
• Proactively assist Chef de Cuisine in training new staff
• Work closely with Chef de Cuisine to ensure food/labor cost, superior food quality, sanitation and all aspects of customer service
• Organize and direct all service during absence of Chef de Cuisine
• Firm comprehension of production and prep scheduling
• Demonstrate leadership, time management, multitasking, and motivation to the team
• Ability to work independently as well as industriously within a team
• Possession of Food Handlers Certificate
• Floating schedule (Mon-Sun, nights & weekends)
• Possession of non-slip shoes, black and/or checkered chef pants, chef knife
Ability to carry 40lbs up one flight of stairs
• Bilingual (a plus!)
