Come enjoy your summer at one of the oldest summer camps in America. YMCA Camp Belknap (est. 1903) in Tuftonboro, NH is hiring for a Sous Chef (Assistant Chef) to become a part of our culinary staff. This is a Seasonal, Full-time salaried position from June 1st to August 30th. Meals and on-site lodging provided and preferred.

Camp Belknap’s kitchen produces mostly “from-scratch” cooking for our 400 campers (ages 8-16) & staff. This position will report directly to the Food Service Director and will involve creating meals, coordinating and training kitchen staff, managing deliveries, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen at all times.

Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience Sous Chef
Education: Culinary Degree Preferred
Certifications: Serve Safe Certification or equivalent State Issues Food Handler Card
Salary: based on experience.

COVID-19 Considerations:
All staff and campers must have a negative COVID test prior to arriving onsite. Testing will be performed throughout the summer for all staff and campers. Mask wearing and social distancing guidelines will be in affect. Campers will eat outside whenever possible, as well as, there will be a limit to the number of campers in the dining hall.
