Payment will be for tasks completed not for time worked, so up to you how long it will take. 3 weeks is the maximum.

Position:

Looking for a temporary personal assistant to do a set of tasks that involve :
– Making appointments
– Organizing and decluttering household
– Selling some items via online marketplace and coordinating with buyers
– Handle items for donation or to dispose of
– Do some laundry tasks: wash/fold backlog of laundry and bring some items to dry cleaners/ pick them up
– One time deep clean of house: vacuum, mop, clean under bed, under rugs etc. clean windows. Apartment is not very large, so this isn’t a massive undertaking. But this will be accounted for in the agreed upon price

This is a temporary position that I will pay an agreed upon amount (in cash) for 1-3 weeks of work. Full time it may take ~1 -1.5 weeks, part time may take 1-3 weeks. To throw out a ballpark estimate I’m thinking around $1k, but we can discuss more in detail to figure out what makes sense. Ideally it can be done in a full time manner so we can get it done quickly.

If there are any items that need to be purchased to complete the work (like containers to organize things, cleaning products etc.) I will pay for those myself out of pocket.

To make it fair and secure for you, I can pay in installments by dividing up the full payment into smaller payments as work progresses so there is no uncertainty.

Required:

– Vehicle, access to a vehicle, or ability to rent a short term vehicle through Zipcar or some similar service. You won’t need this very often, but maybe for 1-2 instances where you need to bring some bags of items for donation, pick up dry cleaning etc. You’re also free to use a ride service like Uber, but my feeling is it will be very difficult and expensive to do that vs stuffing everything into a car.
– You must be very organized by nature. I have home spaces that need to be decluttered and organized.
– Comfortable with light phone conversation to make a few appointments for me, and potentially have some minimal phone conversations with buyers of some items I need to sell
– Experience with general house cleaning: vacuum, dusting, mopping, wiping down inside of fridge/ cabinets.
– Experience with doing laundry, I have a backlog of laundry that needs to be done. I’m just one person, it’s not an overbearing amount of laundry. But it needs to be washed, folded and put away
