Skills and Requirements:

– PM Maintenance

– Experience with diagnostic computers i.e. Cummins, Hino, isuzu software

-3 years or more in the trade (w/ reference), ASE Certified

-Must have tools

-Must have diesel truck experience

-Carrier & Thermo king experience is a plus.

-Ability to use computerized equipment for vehicles

-Must be able to test drive trucks before and after repairs, – valid driver’s license is required.

-Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems

-Must be able to complete employment application and must be able to pass a drug test

Responsibilities:
-Perform minor component repair and all aspects of preventative maintenance, refrigerated and non-powered truck and trailer equipment in the industry.
-Inspect, diagnose and repair brake systems, engines, electrical components, cooling systems, steering systems, transmissions and tires.
-perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
-Repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, oil changes, replace worn-out parts and change hydraulic fluids.
-Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required including but not limited to – hydraulic jacks, pneumatic wrenches and precision gauges. Experience with lathes, welding torches, and machine shop equipment is a plus.
-Promotes safe work habits & follows safety policy
-Must have a positive attitude and willingness to grow in position along with strong work ethics and commitment to work the hours necessary to accomplish the job duties
-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
