Our clinic has been an established landmark in West Palm Beach for over 28 years. The clinic was named after the historic neighborhood of “El Cid”.

We are equipped to handle all veterinary needs and will accommodate all walk-in emergencies. Our team’s top priorities are to treat our patients and to help educate our clients regarding all aspects of pet health and preventative care.

We are currently looking for an addition to our team! The correct candidate will be passionate, knowledgeable, good communicator, organized and a team player!

We are looking for the correct candidate that can work a minimum of 30 hours a week. The clinic is open Monday- Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. We are closed all day Sunday. Our benefit package include full health insurance, supplementary insurance (such as Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Accident Insurance ect.), paid vacation time, employee pet discount and weekly payroll.

Veterinary technicians assist veterinarians in the care of animals. They may perform an initial evaluation of the animal’s condition, clean and wrap wounds, check vital statistics, collect samples and administer medication. They also perform basic lab work, including urinalysis and blood tests, and may assist with procedures such as teeth cleaning.

They may also help during patient examinations and surgical procedures by monitoring the patients anesthesia levels, placing catheters, collecting blood, restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order. Veterinary technicians also communicate with pet owners and update patient files.

Necessary Skills:

Veterinary technicians must have excellent communication skills, so that they may interact with pet owners and coworkers. They must have an understanding of animal behavior and strong clinical skills in order to properly evaluate an animal’s condition and provide treatment. They must be detail-oriented and well-organized so that they may take medical histories, carry out instructions, document patient statistics and update records. It’s also essential that they enjoy working with animals and have the ability to comfort, handle and restrain large and small pets.

• Avimark program knowledge a plus.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the veterinary field.

• Must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, follow-through and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Multitasking and accepting constructive criticism is essential. Punctuality is expected.
