Provide support to a variety of administrative processes, assisting on risk management items and as the recording secretary for the Park District’s Board of Commissioners Meeting. Applicant should be proficient in MS Office programs, provide great customer service skills, and have the ability to be flexible. Hours are generally 15-19 hours per week, scheduled Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and as needed to attend the District’s Board Meetings. Position requires attendance at the Park Board Meetings held on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. to take the minutes by using MS Word on a laptop. Minimum one year experience in customer service, with a preference given to those individuals with park and recreation background. Knowledge of the requirements of the Open Meetings Act and Roberts Rules Of Order is a plus.
