Description

We are a very well established and successful long term bagel establishment looking for the winner manager who can help us operate more productively and efficiently as well as expand. We work together productively as a family in a friendly safe and comfortable working environment with the best customers that we strive to satisfy consistently.

With that being said the prospective manager must:

1. Be able to work in a quick-paced environment throughout the day in the most efficient and effective way (getting out the customers as quickly as possible and getting all orders correctly

2. Managing food costs so as to eliminate waste.

3. Must be able to use a POS system perfectly and know the ins and outs of the system.

4. Candidate MUST HAVE 10 YEARS experience in the food industry

– minimum 5 years management experience in a bagel establishment
-minimum 5 years experience working in a bagel establishment

5. Must be creative and help us come up with ideas for food products and specials and eliminate ones that are not selling via POS tracking and front end experience.

6. Must be able to deal with all vendors promptly and efficiently and setup deliveries at ideal times when customer traffic is slow.

7. Deal with employees and scheduling and ensuring employees show up on time.

8. Must be a team player and work well with a team and alone when need be. Must be able to wear all hats in the bagel industry especially when you have to take the place of an employee not showing up ( deli man, cashier, etc,)

9. This is direct hands-on management. This is not office work except for perhaps 20%. You must be a hands-on manager dealing directly with customers and employees and vendors consistently.

10. Must have extensive knowledge and experience with delivery and catering and getting out orders to relay services promptly. Must be able to handle catering orders perfectly.

11. Most importantly: MUST BE ENERGETIC and efficient and be cordial with everyone.

This is a great stable long term position for the right candidate with plenty of potential for financial advancements via meeting goals and future owner-operator partnerships among other incentives.

Work is 50-55 hours a week. Occasional times you may need to do a couple of hours more.

Salary: 55k yearly

PLUS YEAR-END BONUS.

We’re not cheap, but we want too hard work.
