Mountain Province is a Filipino owned coffee shop, bakery, and Asian grocery store. We are looking for an experienced barista to join our diverse team. Our ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing personality and the willingness to learn new skills.

Job requirements:
– Experience making most common espresso based beverages on a manual machine. We use a La Marzocco linea with manual paddles.
– Experience cleaning and backflushing espresso machines at the end of a shift.
– Opening and Closing the store.
– Must have a food handlers permit
– Clean and sanitize workstation and customer waiting area at regular intervals
– Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils
– Take orders from customers and ring up purchases.
– While this position is primarily for work behind the counter, you may be asked to fill in for some light food prep duties (make sandwich orders, etc) on occasion.

Beneficial Skills:
– Familiarity with the Square point of sale system
– Ability to speak Tagalog
– Familiarity with Filipino food and products
– Ability to create latte art.
– Willingness to “pitch in” when help is needed outside of the scope of your usual role.
– Willingness to learn new skills

This will start as a part-time (approx 20 hours) position but more hours will be available as our business grows.
