Christy’s Restaurant is the premier steakhouse of Coral Gables, serving top quality steak & seafood to the who’s who of Miami for over 42 years. We are currently seeking exceptional candidates to join our service team. We are searching for friendly, energetic, highly motivated individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.

We are looking for a Sous chef and line cook who is willing to inspire and motivate daily excellence in Culinary Operations. Ensure Proper food safety and sanitation procedures are met. Utilize experience and talent to help restaurant maintain their standard.

Responsibilities:

– Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
– Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
– Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
– Answer, report and follow Culinary Manager’s instructions
– Clean up station and take care of leftover food
– Stock inventory appropriately
– Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
– Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
– Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills:

– Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
– Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
– Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
– Familiar with industry’s best practices

Employement Type: Full-time
– Schedule:
We are closed Sunday & Monday.
Schedule would be Tuesday-Saturday

– Pay rate: $14-20 per hour
