Local James Island scratch bakery is seeking a baker with experience in multiple breads; baguettes, sourdoughs, brioche. Croissant and dough lamination a huge plus. Experience scaling, mixing, laminating and shaping doughs is required. At least 1 year of baking experience is required.
We are a bakery that has adapted to COVID with grocery delivery bags that include our bread, and we have also recently reopened the restaurant for 6 days a week. We are closed on Tuesdays.
We are looking for a passionate, hard working individual, who loves making bread to assist with production of our breads 5 days a week. This person must be able to manage their time appropriately, be able to work independently and as a team to produce consistent product, be willing to work early in the mornings, and have reliable transportation. Early morning hours are required with shifts beginning at 2 or 3 am.
Also seeking line cook to work breakfast and lunch shifts 2-4 days a week. Must be able to work independently and experience cooking eggs is a required. 1 year of restaurant experience required.
We are a small tight-knit team and all work together to get things done. Pay is commensurate with experience and tips are always split evenly between all staff.
