Escape Hospitality, the team behind Scribner’s Catskill Lodge, is looking to add a Controller to our growing team.

Founded in 2015, Escape Hospitality manages the 38-room / 20-acre Scribner’s Catskill Lodge and 100+ seat Prospect Restaurant located in Hunter, New York. The two properties reopened in 2016 following an extensive renovation. Additionally, the Escape Hospitality team manages Sal’s Pizza restaurant, located in Tannersville, NY, and is in the process of opening up its fourth property – Fellow Mountain Cafe – this fall that will be located in Main St, Hunter. With thoughtful design, friendly service, and delicious food and drinks, the Escape Hospitality’s properties are all focused on welcoming a new generation of urban explorers year-round to the beautiful Catskill Mountains.

With our expanding business, including un-announced additions to Scribner’s to occur in 2021, Escape Hospitality is looking to add its first Controller to supervise and direct its current financial activities and future endeavors.

Responsibilities include:
– Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
– Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
– Coordinating activities of external tax preparers
– Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
– Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
– Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
– Reporting to Managing Partner, Closely working with Escape Hospitality’s Directors and Managers and Managing existing Accounting Clerk
