LIV Transportation Inc. located in Bridgeview, IL is looking for a full time experienced dispatcher. The Driver Dispatch is responsible for the effective management of assigned company drivers. The purpose of this position is to schedule and route drivers for pick-ups and deliveries of customer freight in the most cost-effective and safe manner while following company policies and procedures. The driver dispatch reports to the transportation coordinator. The driver dispatch supervises company drivers and owner operators while working closely with internal and external customers. Driver dispatcher is responsible for clear and concise communication with company drivers and owner operators and ensures that all the necessary documentation is received in timely manner.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Obtaining new freight orders and negotiate rates directly with customers
• Filter client calls/emails and communicates issues with drivers and management team as appropriate.
• Communicate available drivers and equipment to the transportation coordinator and load planners
• Communicate back-haul needs to transportation coordinator and load planners
• Efficiently route drivers to minimize empty miles, maximize equipment utilization and honor timely pick-up
& delivery commitments to customers
• Create a daily schedule for assigned local and over-the-road company drivers and owner operators
• Identify and correct any daily schedule discrepancies in real-time
• Create a daily and/or weekly schedule for assigned local drivers
• Maintain the necessary capacity to serve the customers’ transportation needs in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure drivers adhere to all company, customer, and government rules & regulations
• Plan for the driver time off necessary to adhere to hours of service regulations
• Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective solutions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1+ years of recent experience in a similar position
• CDL-A driving experience preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of North American ground transportation
• Advanced knowledge of North American geography and the interstate infrastructure
• Ability to lead others
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to deescalate conflicts
• Advanced knowledge of MS office application, TMS and Routing Software
• BI-Lingual in Polish, Ukrainian or Spanish
