Earthen is a vegetarian & vegan restaurant in the heart of Park Slope. Our mission is to provide a seasonal and delicious menu. We focus on whole foods from scratch and globally inspired cuisines. Our priority is focused on fresh local/sustainable vegetables and fruits. We are in close contact with farmers & local producers. We are a small friendly staff with a high expectation for quality of work and attention to details.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Line cook

2 years + experience
Willingness to grow and learn alongside the team in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and has a sense of urgency
Must be able to meet physical demands of the position including standing for extended periods of time, bending, pulling, pushing, carrying up to 50 pounds, etc.
Decent knife skills such as breaking down vegetables, peeling, slicing, etc.
Good communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and remain calm under pressure
Assist with deep cleaning schedule including cleaning ovens, refrigerators, etc.
Working in a CLEAN and ORGANIZED manner and operate effectively as part of a team, COMMUNICATE clearly, ORGANIZED, be ON TIME
Knowledge of health code and has DOH card. (if not, is willing to obtain one within 30 days
